One of the most popular movies of 2022 was none other than Sonic The Hedgehog 2. Sonic has just defeated Dr. Robotnik and wants to continue to be the hero that he is. However, he has had a tough time. So, after being advised to take some time to relax, Sonic goes home for some much-deserved time off only to need the heroic two-tailed fox Miles “Tails” Prower to come to his aid. While at home, the evil Dr. Robotnik attacks Sonic after escaping the mushroom planet. Thankfully, Tails, who is a huge fan of Sonic, is able to help and manages to rescue Sonic. Tails is brought onto the team and joins forces with Sonic to recapture Dr. Robnotnik and his new assistant, Knuckles. But they are tracked by Robotnik and Knuckles all the way to Siberia, which ends with the four facing off in an intense battle during which Tails gets injured. Though they are eventually saved, Sonic, being the compassionate and caring person he is, feels horrible that Tails was hurt under his watch and decides to capture Robotnik and Knuckles alone. But he is thwarted by the villain who gets his hands on Master Emerald. Once again, Tails saves the day by arriving as the knight in shining armor for Sonic as well as Knuckles who has been left for dead by Robotnik and even plays a significant role in defeating the evil doctor. While the crystal clear plot confirms where Tails’ allegiance lies, the same clarity hasn’t been afforded to the mystery of whether the character is a boy or a girl. Well, the mystery stems from the fact that the voice we hear when Tails speaks is of a female. Although the character is voiced by voice actress Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Tails is actually a boy. He is a yellow-orange fox who has the ability to fly by using his two tails and is known for his quick wit that he puts to use either for creating different gadgets that can help with fighting or reach different places. He is not from planet Earth but impressed with Sonic’s bravery, he leaves his planet to help him in his mission. Interestingly, this is not the first time that fans have heard Colleen voice Tails as she has reprised her role from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series the films are based on. As for whether she will be returning to voice the character once again, given the fact that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is confirmed and already has a release date, we can expect to hear a very familiar voice aiding Sonic on his next adventure.

Do babies have a tail in the womb?

Most humans grow a tail in the womb, which disappears by eight weeks. The embryonic tail usually grows into the coccyx or the tailbone. The tailbone is a bone located at the end of the spine, below the sacrum. Sometimes, however, the embryonic tail doesn't disappear and the baby is born with it.

When a human grows a tail, it's known as a human tail or vestigial tail. Many believe that human ancestors had and used some form of a tail. Over time as a species, however, we evolved past the need for such an organ, which is why the majority of humans no longer grow them. Growing a true human tail is extremely rare. Sometimes, when babies are born, their parents might think they have a true tail when actually they don’t. This is called a pseudotail. Pseudotails are usually a symptom of an irregular coccyx or of spina bifida as opposed to a remnant of the embryonic tail from the womb.
