"You don't get better odds for winning a million bucks," she tells TV Guide Online. "[A] one in sixteen chance — you might as well go for it." In a nasty twist, the 24-year-old computer programmer from Los Angeles lost out on the $1 million, thanks to her closest friend and ally, Sandra — who sabotaged their tribe's fish supply and let Christa take the heat for it! "I'm totally fine with what she did," Christa shrugs. "I never would have thrown out the fish in the first place, but if I did, I never would have told anybody, either. It sucked to be me at the time." It seems as though it sucked to be anyone left on the island with the insidious and deceitful Jon. Playing for sympathy, the guy tricked his tribe with a sob story about his beloved grandmother's death. But Christa insists she always knew the truth. "Having been on the same tribe as Jon from the beginning, I had heard a lot about his grandma," she says. "And so, I had a sneaking suspicion that he was lying. Even the day afterward, he was laughing and rolling on the ground. I thought, 'Nobody is this happy after their grandma dies.'" Now that she's away from the show, Christa harbors no ill will toward her backstabbing compatriots. "It's a game," Christa explains. "At the end of the day, anybody that takes hard feelings away from this whole game has some real issues in life. I definitely don't have hard feelings toward anybody." An antagonistic player from the very beginning, Christa tried to use her abrasive personality to her advantage in hopes of saving herself at the last Tribal Council. "I wanted people to know," she says, "that if they ever decided to keep me on and take me to the final two, they would most likely win. Because everybody hates me!"
