Read More »God had told Israel he would bring them out of Egypt, conquer all their enemies and give them the promised land. And in Joshua 21 it says that God fulfilled his word: Thus the LORD gave to Israel all the land that he swore to give to their fathers. And they took possession of it, and they settled there. And the LORD gave them rest on every side just as he had sworn to their fathers. Not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for the LORD had given all their enemies into their hands. Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass. (Joshua 21:43-45) NOT ONE WORD of all God’s good promises had failed; ALL CAME TO PASS. God does not and can not lie. He will fulfill his every promise to us, including every promise to provide for us. When we look at the lives of the saints throughout history we will see God’s faithfulness. And if God lets us live long enough, we will see his faithfulness in our lives. The Bible is filled with promises that our God will be with us, will never forsake us, will protect and provide for his children. If you struggle with the temptation to doubt God’s love and his provision, write these Scriptures in a journal or on notecards where you can refer to them often. And keep praying and fighting the good fight to believe God’s word. And someday you too will be able to say, “Not one word of all God’s good promises has failed; all have come to pass.”
