Here’s the revised 2022 SNAP exam pattern:

Tips for your SNAP Entrance Exam:

Step 1: Take The Right Mock Test

Find a genuine, full-length mock test to determine where your understanding of quantitative, verbal, and logical reasoning stands. A practice test will allow you to assess your strengths and weaknesses. It will also help you recognize the kinds of questions you performed well, and the ones you had difficulty solving. You can then utilize this knowledge to create an efficient study plan. Taking a mock test will also help you familiarize yourself with a test’s format and timing. This will help you learn precisely how you can employ the expertise you possess and how you can complete the test within the allotted time. For instance, the SNAP exam 2022, has 60 questions that you need to answer within 1 hour. A mock test will teach you how you can utilize 60 minutes to ace the test. Another point to remember is to take the mock test under similar circumstances that you will encounter on the test day. When taking a mock test for SNAP, ensure that you schedule 1 hour for the mock test and an additional hour to evaluate the test later in the day.

Step 2: Establish Your Study Agenda

Procrastination can be an unending spiral. If you are a full-time student or a full-time employee, you will find various tasks you will need to complete immediately. This will make it harder for you to schedule any study time for your entrance exam preparations. Therefore, it's important to avoid procrastinating; otherwise, you won't realize how quickly the test day will arrive. Those who study every day of the week generally score better compared to those who study only once or twice a week. However, working professionals may have a difficult time following this study pattern. In such scenarios, it's best to create a study plan that allows you to optimally use your day to factor in other responsibilities along with preparing for the SNAP test. Remember to block out time for at least four mock tests during your study plan. Based on your performance in the mock tests, you will need to tweak your study plan so that you can improve in areas you had a hard time-solving.

Step 3: Develop Your Study Plan

The right way to prepare for any entrance test is to use the correct books and online resources. Numerous books in the market will provide you with different tricks you can employ to answer specific questions. While preparing your study plan focus on sections that you find challenging and the type of questions that are frequently asked. For example, in the quantitative section, if you have a difficult time with statistics, then spend extra time studying that rather than the topics you find easy. Nevertheless, don't skip on improving upon your strengths. For instance, if your logical reasoning skills are strong, then allocate one day of the week for solving questions from that section. If you plan right and practice hard, you will have no reason to be nervous about the SNAP test and can easily crack the entrance test.

How to Prepare for SNAP 2022

The General English section will only have 15 normal questions. The Analytical & Logical Reasoning section will have 25 questions, worth one mark. Develop these few practices in a part of your daily routine to make a command over English languages:

Watching English movies/ news

Participating or taking up quizzes online.

The best long-term plan to deal with long passages is to maintain your attention and focus. It can be only developed with good practice. Try reading as much as it will help in enhancing your understanding in addition to the areas you are familiar with. Read online journals, books, magazines and newspapers. Moreover, while practising keep a track of the time you take to solve an RC and make sure it gets reduced day by day. RCs are the only part of the English section which will take time and a good reading speed is always a bonus.

Concentrate on the opening and closing paragraphs

Most of the passages will be short, but one or two might belong. In case there is a shortage of time, read the opening and closing paragraphs. This is because the first and the last paragraphs contain the passage's main idea. Use context If there is a question based on a particular line, read at least two to three sentences before and after the line, to comprehend/understand what it is trying to convey. This will help you write the answer with better accuracy. Improve your Vocabulary Try increasing your vocabulary. It is extremely vital to build on your core language skills in order to develop into an affluent reader. Keep reading editorials and make a note of new words. Try to use them in your conversations.

Preparation Tips for Verbal Ability:

This part will test candidates’ capability in English grammar and language.

Please remember, grammar is the foundation of a language. Your fluency in grammar will make other parts of the Verbal Ability section like RCs’, prose much easier. Clear your English grammar basics to solve the sentence correction and error detection questions.

Practice questions related to reported speech and tenses.

Identify the words you are not familiar with and try to understand their meaning and usage.

Watch documentaries with subtitles. This will enhance knowledge of spoken English.

Memorize idioms and idiomatic expressions.

Time management is imperative to get a good score. Reading and practising is the key to acing the Verbal Ability section. Try talking to people in English. You might feel shy at first and make a lot of mistakes. But soon you’ll discover that with more talking, the confidence, as well as the accuracy, shall increase. The registrations for the SNAP Test 2022 will begin from 4th August 2022. The SNAP last registration date is 24th November 2022.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning :

The importance of the 3rd section - Analytical & Logical Reasoning lies in the fact that it examines your critical thinking abilities. Critical reasoning is a test of your mind to think rationally, to analyse and comprehend the given statement and reach a conclusion based on your understanding. It is vital that you learn how to tackle such questions if you want to do well in SNAP 2022. Hopefully, the following tips will assist you in enhancing your critical reasoning abilities:

Frequently practice different kinds of reasoning problems in a time-bound manner.

Try to solve puzzles to sharpen your reasoning skills.

In reasoning, it is a thumb rule not to assume any information.

Identification and logical analysis of your answers would show whether your thinking is following the right path or not. You can scribble a chart or picture to depict the information provided in the question. Make sure you should read and reread all the response choices carefully before choosing one. Do not make any assumptions to choose your options but rather base your answer only on facts. Even though this is a scoring section, remember this section is at par in terms of marks with the other sections. So make sure you balance your time with the other sections in the exam.

Check out key tips for QA, DI-DS preparation:

It's not enough to memorise the theorems and equations. You must also improve your ability to apply them to the pertinent question. There will be a question with a similar appearance, but the approach will be different. Learn to recognise the differences. After you've finished a topic, practise the sample questions and activities at the conclusion of the chapter to see how principles are applied. Examine which types of questions you were able to answer correctly on the first try and which ones were difficult. This will assist you in determining whether or not you need to revisit the issue. Keep a running list of essential theorems, equations, and shortcuts you learn along the way. This will be useful for revision in the week leading up to the exam. Tables and charts are used in DI-DS questions. Memorize up to 20 tables of mathematics, including squares, cubes, square roots, percentages, and fractions. Because all competitive tests are timed, the aim is to improve your speed and accuracy when answering questions. To improve speed and accuracy, practise a large number of sample papers and mock tests. Obtain sample papers from a variety of sources. To ace Quants and Data Interpretation, you must not only answer a large number of questions, but also a wide range of questions. All competitive exams are speed-based test, so the key is to develop speed and accuracy in solving the questions. Practice a good number of sample papers and mock tests to gain control over speed and accuracy. Obtain sample papers from a variety of sources. To ace Quants and Data Interpretation, you must not only answer a large number of questions, but also a wide range of questions. DI-DS questions necessitate a great deal of data understanding; the more you practise sample questions, the better you will become. Don't take any chances on the SNAP 2022 exam. Because incorrect efforts will result in negative marks, the primary goal should be to reach the sectional cut-off. Try to answer at least 12 questions correctly out of a total of 20, then if time allows, try three to four more questions. Do not attempt any questions about which you are unsure. Because SNAP does not consider sectional cut-offs for admittance, you are unlikely to lose anything.
