SNAP (food benefits)

SNAP benefits are used to buy food. ​Benefits are usually issued on an Oregon EBT card​.

SNAP Double Up Food Bucks lets you get more fruits and vegetables by matching a certain amount of SNAP dollars you spend at participating ​farmers markets.

WIC (women, infants and children)

WIC provides ​benefits for healthy foods on an eWIC card, along with nutrition education​ and breastfeeding support to:

Pregnant women

Breastfeeding ​women with children are under 1 year old

Non-breastfeeding women with children under 6 months old

Children under 5 years old

Fathers, grandparents, foster parents or other guardians can apply for WIC for their children​ To apply for WIC, call a local WIC program near you, or ​call 2-1-1.

Meals on Wheels America delivers a nutritious meal to seniors to keep them healthy, safe and living independently in their own homes.

Senior Farm Direct ​Nutrition Program

The Senior Farm Direct Nutrition Program (SFDNP)​ provides low-income, eligible seniors with checks that can be used to buy fresh, locally grown fruit, vegetables and herbs at approved farm stands​ and farmers markets​.​

​Free or reduced price school lunch

​The School Lunch Program provides a nutritionally balanced lunch for school-aged children.

Apply online for free or reduced price school lunches. Paper applications are also available at schools.

Free or reduced prices school lunches families who receive SNAP or TANF:

If you are eligible for SNAP or TANF programs, you are also eligible for free school meals. Your child's eligibility information can be electronically transferred from the Oregon Department of Human Services. (This sharing of eligibility information is permitted under Federal Law.) As long as one child in your household participates in SNAP or TANF, all other children in your household can get ​free school lunch. Please call your school for more information.
