Is PS5 true 4K?

4K is almost four times higher definition than standard (1080p HD). Though all PS5 consoles have 4K and HDR capabilities, the availability of image quality depends on your home entertainment setup.

Video Output Information

View your current settings and TV capabilities.

Resolution

Set the screen resolution.

Test 1440p Output

If your TV supports 1440p output, you can test for SDR/HDR 60 Hz/120 Hz video output. To use 1440p output, set Resolution to 1440p.* *1440p compatible TV or PC monitor required. Results may vary depending on the game being played. Please note: VRR on PS5 consoles supports 1080p and 4K video output but not 1440p.

VRR

Allow the refresh rate to adjust in real time while using TVs and games that support VRR (variable refresh rate). Results vary depending on the TV you're using and if the PS5 game you 'e playing supports VRR. PS5™ consoles support VRR through HDMI 2.1. Other display standards such as NVIDIA G-SYNC® and AMD FreeSync™ are not supported. Turn on Apply to Unsupported Games to improve video quality for some PS5 games that don't support VRR. If you experience unexpected behavior while playing games, turn off this setting.

Enable 120 Hz Output

Is PS3 stronger than Xbox 360?

Better 3rd Party Games Although the PS3 is technically more powerful than the Xbox 360, in most cases, the 360 received superior versions of multiplatform games. The 360 was simply easier to program for, as the PS3's complex system architecture was a nightmare for developers.

Microsoft announced this week that after ten-and-a-half years, they were finally calling it quits on the Xbox 360, at least in terms of manufacturing the console. While the Xbox 360 will continue to be supported — there are still games being released for it, and the system’s Xbox Live features are still fully intact — we’ve now arrived at the symbolic end of the console’s lifespan. Despite being an incredibly unreliable piece of hardware in its early years (the red rings of death still strike fear in the hearts of gamers everywhere), the Xbox 360 managed to establish itself as the console of choice for many players thanks to its incredible library of games and generally uncomplicated design. We thought we’d celebrate the Xbox 360’s impact on gaming by comparing it to its main competitor, Sony’s PlayStation 3 (yes, Nintendo’s Wii outsold both, but it was geared toward a different audience), and listing off the areas where Microsoft’s console had Sony’s beat. Don’t worry, we’re not claiming that the Xbox 360 is “better” than the PlayStation 3 (in fact, we plan to do another piece focused on the PS3’s advantages) but it’s hard to deny that the Xbox 360 had the edge in the following categories.
