Read More »The journey to becoming a SERE Specialist is not easy, and training is rigorous and highly selective, but the courage and strength individuals will gain as a candidate will stay with them for their entire life. The SERE Specialist training programme is the selection and training process for all candidates wishing to join the Air Force’s SOF community as a SERE Specialist. All candidates will undertake a number of distinct stages of training (Table 2), in which candidates are taught the fundamentals of Air Force special warfare through formal US Air Force schooling and on-the-job training.
