Read More »Submitting a Snapchat report on a mobile device takes a few taps. But you can also use the Snapchat web portal to do that, and so much more. Visit their support page where you can report a safety concern. The safety concerns are mostly related to issues with your Snapchat account, but also if it’s someone else you’re worried about. Also, you can report on specific Stories, and even if something is bothering you on the Discover page. Go to Snapchat Support Page. Select “Report a safety concern.” Then select “My Snapchat account.” Finally, “My account is hacked.” Snapchat will advise you to change the password right away and verify your email and number. If you’re still worried something is wrong, you go back to the support page. Then follow the directions about what to do if you can’t verify your information. Unlike some other social media platforms, Snapchat takes the safety of its users very seriously. It’s all about self-expression and creativity of each user. But at the same time, staying safe online is more important now than ever. That’s why the social media giant has pretty strict community guidelines. Unsurprisingly, any content that’s against the law is strictly forbidden. Also, Snapchat bans all kinds of hate speech and spreading of false information. They take all forms of threats of violence, abuse, harassment, and bullying very seriously. When it comes to sexually explicit content, things are a little more complicated, but overall, Snapchat prohibits it. There are some amazingly creative accounts on the platform. And who knows, maybe you will be the next Snapchat star. But an average user, especially if they’re young and impressionable, could run into some unpleasant things. That’s why it’s good to have an accessible and easy way to report those accounts. Have you ever had to report a Snapchat account? Let us know in the comments section below.
