While is may feel like it occasionally, sex is not therapy. And even if you feel extremely comfortable with your partner, there are somethings that should just be kept out of the bedroom, if you want to keep the romance of the night alive. There are a lot of sexy things you can talk about in bed - some words here and there can really turn the heat up after all. But some topics should just be banned from the bed - especially if sex is on your or his mind. Here are a few of them:

1. Ex Lovers

Okay, no one likes this. There is a time and place to talk to your partner about your past relationships but it's definitely not when he's in bed with you, hoping to get lucky. There is no salvaging that situation.

2. Anything About Work

You might have a really stressful work life but that's still no excuse for bringing it up during foreplay. This is the time when you can leave all the stresses behind and just enjoy yourself. There will always be time to confide in him and be comforted by him later. And, trust us, if you're feeling stressed, this is probably the best way to relax your mind.

3. Parent Problems

Talking about parents, or even siblings, is a big no-no in bed. It's not the visual you want in your mind, or his. So if you suddenly remembered that his mom had called earlier, just ask your mind to shut up for a few minutes.

4. The Last Fight

Even if you haven't resolved the last fight you both had completely, don't try and get him to agree with you during sex. No matter how tempting it might be, it's a highly manipulative move and he won't forgive you for it once the sex haze clears.

5. The Marriage/Kids Talk

If you guys have been talking about taking the next step in your relationship, that's great. But table that conversation when you're having sex, please. Not just for his sake, but yours too. As we all know, people don't think twice before saying what's on their mind (thanks to lowered inhibitions) and that's not necessarily a good thing. Keep the seriousness aside unless you both have already made a decision and are, um, quite excited about it.

6. Your Less Common Fetishes

If there is something less conventional that you would like to try in bed, it's always better to talk about it before you're in bed with your partner. This way, you give them a chance to process and don't end up putting any pressure on them about agreeing to try it. Be considerate, ladies. Wouldn't you expect the same from him?

7. ANY Size

I would like to cover two specific things here - don't talk about his size, unless it's complimentary, of course. And don't ask him if your thighs look fat or if your breasts look flat - being open about your insecurities is great, but again, there is a time and place. We're sure you look nothing less than gorgeous to him, and he doesn't care about your size. (And if he does, you probably shouldn't be in bed with him, anyway.)

How do you know if two souls are connected?

When you feel a soul tie, it's simply the sense that another soul is in your life for a reason. For example, if your life is very busy yet you meet a new potential friend or potential business partner, the sense that you have a soul tie to this person could inspire you to make room in your life for the relationship.

Many Eastern religions and philosophies discuss the concept of past lives. I can always tell when a client has met someone they knew well in a past life by the way they describe the connection. If the connection is manifesting as a romance, they might say, "I've never felt this way before!" When two souls have shared a significant past life together (or perhaps several), if they meet again in this life they may be inexplicably drawn to each other—and the sexual chemistry can be off the charts. What people are feeling is the built-up energy over other lifetimes together—and a soul recognition. Although you can have a soul recognition with any type of soul mate, the past-life ones (whether you were at odds or best friends in a past life) are extremely powerful. According to Brian Weiss, M.D., psychiatrist and past-life regression expert, two souls could agree to reincarnate and navigate toward each other after spending 1,000 earth years apart—which is quite romantic! Yet just because you had a significant past life with someone and are feeling all the feelings, it doesn't necessarily mean you are supposed to partner, romantically or otherwise, in this lifetime. Judge the relationship by who you both are today and how you treat each other now. If you suspect a past-life connection with a current lover, try to bring more healing to the situation, even if you break up. This might look like releasing them with love, wishing them well yet out of your life. Often when souls come back together in this lifetime they are looking to heal something or do better this time around.
