Who is beefing with Dax?

Not long after, Lanez pulled up on Dax and demanded an apology. When the two bumped into each other in person, Lanez made it clear he wasn't going to let what the rapper had to say slide. "Apologize, bro," Lanez demanded in an Instagram video shared by DJ Akademiks.

Tory Lanez has found himself in a slew of feuds recently. Don Q, Joyner Lucas, Dream Doll, and Royce Da 5'9" are among those to diss the Canadian rapper on record as of late. However, one particular diss track seemed to get under his skin. Fellow Canadian rapper Dax, not to be confused with Drake and Travis Scott collaborator Daxz, dropped his "I'm not Joyner or Don Q" diss directed at Lanez. "Come here or this shit not gonna end my n***a." Dax eventually apologized, but now he's told his side of the story in an interview with DJ Akademiks. Speaking with Akademiks, Dax explained that he started working on the track as soon as he saw Lanez proclaim that he was "THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE RIGHT NOW" on his Twitter. Lanez reportedly reached out to Dax when he first previewed the song, apparently warning him. "When he first reached out I wasn't sure if he wasn't being super serious or not," he said at the 16:50 point of the interview. "He had said, 'If you say the wrong thing,' and I knew my diss track wasn't personal." Lanez has been encouraging rappers to diss him for a while now, and has even got personal in his attacks on the likes of Don Q and Dream Doll. It's unclear why he chose to single out Dax's diss as a step too far. Dax added that he chose to apologize because he didn't want it to escalate to physical violence, stating that it was "the right thing to do."
